CONCEPT

ONK is derived from “ONKO CHISHIN” (温故知新) — learning from the past to create something new.

Rather than separating old and new, ONK sees them as part of a continuous cycle. Eiichi Shibusawa, a pioneer of modern Japan, also embraced this idea: to move forward without forgetting what came before.

Inspired by Japan’s traditional seal culture, the ONK symbol reinterprets the spirit of the hanko in a contemporary form. ONK ARCHIVE is one expression of this philosophy, preserving and reintroducing important pieces of Japanese fashion.
